Slide Background

Discover

The ABILITY SPACE is a meeting ground for diverse populations to share experiences and develop new perspectives. Clients and designers work together to build connection and understanding that overcome barriers to accessibility.

Ideate

ABILITY PROJECT research initiatives seek adaptive solutions to real life problems that affect real people. Collaborators from across disciplines merge interests to experiment in the spaces between traditional realms of thought.

Build

Teams work together to create new assistive technologies that impact lives. Dedicated developers see ideas come to fruition by building out designs.

Support

Clients and designers implement solutions and make adjustments to better suit the evolving needs of individuals and their support networks.

Our Fabrication Space

In addition to a classroom and meeting space, we have some prototyping facilities to allow students to begin making physical objects. These include basic electronics parts, 3D printers, a laser cutter, and hand tools.

If you’ve been approved to reserve space with any of the machines, please add your name to the calendar for the time you need. If you have not shown up within an hour of the start of your reservation, the machine may be taken by another student.

TO RESERVE, CLICK ON THE ICON AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE CALENDAR. Specify Ultimaker, or Laser Cutter.
