Assistive technology (AT), including powered mobility, computer access devices, communication aids, and environmental devices, is used by people with disabilities to participate in activities that would otherwise be impossible or difficult. Health professionals like occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech language pathologists often work with people with disabilities to select the most appropriate technologies for their own specific needs.
